Meet Chris
Chris at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto — April 2021
Chris was born in Montreal and raised in Saskatchewan. He obtained a BA in religious studies and political science from the University of Regina. He then attended McGill University to study at the Institute of Islamic Studies for two years, prior to pursuing his law degree at the University of Saskatchewan.
He articled and practiced law in Hamilton, Ontario, from 2000 to 2010. From there he founded the law firm Cambridge LLP with two of his dearest friends, now his law partners Jon Giacomelli and Adam Cappelli.
He has been a fierce advocate for patients who need access to life-sustaining medications or treatments, founding the not-for-profit organization Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Treatment Society to assist in carrying out this work.
He has spent years working collaboratively with others on the protection of Canadians abroad, including pressing the Canadian and foreign governments when a Canadian citizen is detained overseas and their fundamental human rights are being violated. Chris and the team at Ofelas Group rise to the challenge and seek the release and return of these individuals back to Canada.
Chris is available to speak to your organization or at an event or conference.
